Dr. Patrick Barr
"Nice to meet you!"
Patrick Barr is the owner and sole orthodontist at The Ortho Barr. Dr. Barr was born and raised just north of Birmingham, Alabama. He chose to be an orthodontist because he wanted to help people build confidence within themselves.
This passion for helping others began when Dr. Barr worked as a personal trainer in college where he helped people realize their fitness goals. He has a passion for people and enjoys the ability to serve where he can.
Background
Upon graduation, he moved to NYC where he attended Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx for his orthodontic residency. There he had the unique opportunity to start over one hundred cases and acquire a fantastic and diverse orthodontic training. He lived and worked as an associate in Savannah, GA before taking over Smiley Orthodontics in July of 2020.
“As a trainer I could only encourage and support – I couldn’t do the work for my clients. Being an orthodontist allows me to continue serving people, but I now have the skills to put the work in on behalf of my patients, which is truly a privilege”.

ABOUT HIS FAMILY
Dr. Barr is married to his lovely wife Angie who is a personal stylist and quite the extrovert (unlike himself – they say opposites attract). They have a Bernese Mountain Dog named Gatsby and no kids, yet. Dr. Barr and Angie love to travel, try new restaurants, and take Gatsby on adventures. They both value friendships and relationships, love a good game night, and can binge a tv series.
